How to estimate battery runtime
Runtime depends on the actual batteries and load. A reliable hour figure requires usable battery energy and the total power drawn from the batteries under the intended operating conditions.
Runtime (hours) ≈ usable battery energy (Wh) ÷ measured total battery-side power (W).
- Battery energy: add the rated Wh of the compatible packs in use, then account for charge level, battery condition and energy unavailable before cutoff. If only voltage and Ah are given, use nominal voltage × Ah as an energy estimate, not the maximum-voltage platform name.
- Total battery-side power: include the connected load and the inverter, fan, lighting and simultaneous USB consumption in the operating mode being measured.
- For an AC-only calculation: battery-side power may be modeled as AC load watts ÷ conversion efficiency + auxiliary DC watts. Use efficiency measured at the intended load, and do not count auxiliary losses twice if they are already included in that efficiency figure.
- Operating conditions: record battery model, number of packs, capacity, state of charge, load behavior, temperature and cutoff conditions. Motor startup and battery discharge limits must also be checked separately.
DEWALT specifies 20V MAX as the maximum initial voltage without a workload and 18V as the nominal voltage. Use the battery’s stated Wh or nominal-energy information for your calculation. DEWALT battery voltage reference.

Why did the inverter shut down?
Check the LCD alert, connected load, battery voltage, and ventilation. Low voltage, high voltage, overload, over current, short circuit, or over temperature can stop output until the cause is corrected.
What is included and what should I confirm before ordering?
The package includes the ETP 600W inverter only. Batteries, battery charger, and AC appliances are not included. Confirm battery compatibility, continuous load, startup load, output frequency, and required ports before ordering.
